What is Radiesse:
Radiesse is a type of dermal filler that provides instant volume for an immediate but subtle lifting and contouring effect. Over the subsequent months its microscopic calcium hydroxyapatite crystals that act as “biological stimulants”, causing your body to produce its own natural collagen. It is particularly useful for fine lines and saggy skin
Aging, Collagen Loss, and Radiesse
After age 20, we lose about 1% of collagen per year, meaning that by age 45, we have lost approximately 25% of our collagen. This can result in sagging and wrinkled features on face, neck and hands. As a biostimulatory agent, Radiesse reverses this process and rejuvenates the skin by promoting collagen and elastin production. These effects are gradual, subtle, and sustainable over the long term, often lasting well beyond 2 years.
How is Radiesse administered:
After a comprehensive consultation Dr Krushel judiciously administers Radiesse to rejuvenate and revitalize the areas of fine lines and sagging skin on the face. It is typically administered over a 30-minute session with tiny needles or cannula, and local anesthetic is used to make the procedure minimally uncomfortable. For clients 40 years of age or older, we typically recommend 2 sessions 8 weeks apart. There is minimal recovery and few risks with Radiesse treatments.
What is the Cost of a Radiesse Treatment?
A typical Radiesse treatment session costs $950 to $1,800. However, as Radiesse effects are different and much longer lasting than typical hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, clients find that Radiesse is a good value.
